Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Co-operation Rania Mashat Thursday affirmed government’s commitment to providing prosthetic devices that meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency to support the reintegration of injured individuals into society.
Mahsat made the remarks during a visit to the prosthetics center in Matrouh governorate to get first-hand information about the support provided by the center to landmine victims.
The minister witnessed the delivery and maintenance of 100 prosthetic limbs for local residents, in line with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to localise the prosthetics industry and support landmine survivors.
While inspecting the manufacturing and fitting processes at the center, Mashat underscored the importance of maintaining the highest efficiency standards and ensuring regular maintenance of the prosthetic devices.
The Planning Ministry is working on upgrading the prosthetics center in Matrouh in partnership with the German side, with the aim of enhancing the center’s capacity and its role in localising the prosthetics industry in Egypt.
